RYA training in The Netherlands
The British Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is known for its practical approach to improving skipper and crew skills. AquaPlanning has been a Recognised Training Centre since 2004.
The website is being translated to English at moment, this can take a while. The booking system is up and running.
Geert-Jan is instructor for : Yachtmaster shorebased, Cruising instructor motor, radar, diesel, SRC, First Aid, Sea Survival, Advanced Powerboat and Personal Watercraft. In my free time I like to sail my Beneteau First Class Europe on the Markermeer, IJsselmeer and Northsea. (short)
Radar voor for small craft
A modern yacht radar will paint a clear picture, through fog, snow, rain and when looking into the sun. Even in daylight it will provide valuable information about other ships such as course, speed and closest point of approach. In this one day course we show you how to get the most from a yacht radar.
Inland Waterways
The Dutch inland waterways are uniquely varied: quiet canals, fast-flowing rivers with large commercial vessels, wide peripheral lakes with narrow channels and the large ports. The RYA two-day Inland Waterways course is a good start to a skippers or crews career.
NMEA2000 installer
A ships navigation system depends on a reliable and robust network. An NMEA2000/SeaTalkNG network is very robust, if you follow the design rules. The NMEA organises several courses per year for beginning and experienced installers and designers.
The NMEA course is organised around the METS in Amsterdam and is fully certified.
Since that training is in English we have designed a Dutch spoken (non-certified) alternative.
RYA First Aid
A good idea for everyone who is near the water, compulsory for Yachtmasters, many sailraces and instructors: a one day training specifically for waterborne risks.
ICC for European Waterways
Many thanks for your interest in an RYA practical boating course. As you have probably learned by now the rules for skippers on the European Waterways for small craft are complicated.
